Metal Clutch Pedal for 2001-2006 ZF6 6 Speed Manual 6.6l Duramax 8.1l Chevy GMC
Product Details

The OEM plastic clutch pedal on 2001-2006 Chevy & GMC trucks is known to fail abruptly!

Ditch your plastic clutch pedal setup for a pedal made from steel for a lifetime of trouble free performance. Includes spring.

Heim Joint Kit Option:
Allows for an adjustable pedal.
Eliminates the OE white plastic bushing.
The heim joint option requires the OE master cylinder ball end to be cut off and the shaft threaded for 3/8-24 threads. Use caution to thread only 1" of the shaft otherwise interference between the neutral safety switch and heim joint may occur.

Fitment Details:
2001-2006 Chevy/GMC 2500/3500 Trucks with the ZF6 6 Speed Manual Transmission / 6.6l Duramax Diesel or 8.1l Gas.
This pedal will NOT work on 4.3l-6.0l applications. If you have a 4.3l-6.0l Chevy/GMC gas truck, please see our NV4500 pedal listing.
Note: Can also be used on the 2001-2006 +07 classic body style automatic trucks for a manual transmission swap, however the fitment it much tighter due to wiring harnesses routing near the clutch pedal location.
For pre 2000 and 2007+ trucks you may be able to use this pedal but modification to the mount would be required.

Installation Instructions:
1. Unclip the white bushing that connects the clutch pedal to the push rod.
2. From under the hood rotate the master cylinder (counter clockwise if I remember correctly) and pull the master cylinder out, being careful not to damage or disconnect the hydraulics.
3. Unbolt the 3 bolts holding the plastic pedal in.
4. Either dismantle the entire dash and many parts under the dash to remove the plastic pedal assembly. OR Using a saw carefully notch the upper plastic pedal assembly until you can squeeze the mount together and remove it from the truck.
5. Assemble the metal pedal assembly.
6. Install the metal pedal assembly. We put the pedal and mount at 180° and inset the mount with the master cylinder side pointing up. Slide the assembly in near the firewall and slide it up into place being careful not to damage any wiring.
7. Install mounting bolts and master cylinder.
