- Heat retained pre-turbo reduces spool time
Includes:
1x 54" woven heat shield sock
2x #36 hose clamps
Crossover tube is NOT included!
Fits: 1992-2002 Chevy/GMC C/K 1500/2500/3500 Trucks, Blazers & Suburbans with the 6.5l Turbo Diesel Engine.
Note: Lifted trucks could encounter front driveshaft clearance issues.
Install Tip Option #1: Tape 3 bolt slip flange in a fixed spot on the tube. Then expand end of the sleeve and work it over the 3 bolt flange. Bunching the sleeve up on the tube with the 3 bolt flange taped 6-10" down from the end of the tube will aid in slipping the sleeve over the flange. Position sleeve and fold ends in. Pull sleeve tight and clamp each end.
Install Tip Option #2: This option only works if the slip flange to tube fitment has some slack. Pull flange down out of the way, start the sleeve onto the tube and tape the end of the sleeve to the tube. Now slide the flange over the sleeve, remove the tape and work the sleeve onto the tube. Position sleeve and fold ends in. Pull sleeve tight and clamp each end.
