This 7/7 compressor wheel was selected for best all-around performance. The 7/7 design will produce more turbo whistle when compared to the stock design. When building a turbo there is never a perfect choice for the compressor wheel. If the turbo must have extremely fast spooling characteristics we would recommend a 11/0 blade configuration. On the other hand if the turbo must have optimum performance at high engine/turbo rpms we would recommend fewer blades such as a 4/4 blade configuration. This is because at higher rpms more primary blades tend to get in the way rather than pulling in more air.
Note: The threads on the compressor wheel are left hand. Turn left to tighten and right to loosen. Torque specification: 10 Ft-Lbs with blue thread locker.
Fits: 1994.5-2003 Ford 7.3l Powerstroke with GTP38 or TP38 Turbos.
